Monkey Lord visits Marshall Amps – Class 5 & JVM210H

Class 5 JVM210. I was invited down to Marshall to check out some of there new amps! I was blown away by the fantastic new gear and liked them so much that I am officially now a Marshall artist ;-)

It’s great to be working with a company that is positive, friendly and professional. And lastly I can now confirm that I will be shooting my next DVD with Marshall:

Shred-ucation
Lead guitar concepts & techniques
With Rob Chappers from Monkey Lord
Featuring Eddie Kramer How to record electric guitar

This will feature loads of new Marshall Amps, the Eddie Kramer section will be shot in LA while I am at the NAMM show.

Steve Morse Licks on a vintage Fender Stratocaster and a JVM Marshall

In 1984 I got 2 tapes with exercises of Steve Morse and from this moment they were the only music I heard for month. The first 2 licks are in the style of his exercises. He describes how to build up a solo.
I play it on a JVM 410H Marshall and a Marshall 1960TV cab.
It´s the 3rd channel and green mode. Gain on 5, Treble 2, Middle 2, Bass 8, Master 4, Presence 3, Resonance 2, no Reverb.

Introducing my Gibson SG Classic with a Mike Oldfield medley

Mike Oldfied different tunes on my brand new Gibson SG Classic, a very good guitar indeed. Some songs are messed up, sorry.
The sound is “raw”, no effect, no pedal, no gear… Only the guitar with a Marshall Valvestate 8080 amplifier. The P-90 pickups are great.
I played along, recording with my webcam, and I choosed the best moments (I hope). The sound of the video isn’t very clear.
“Setlist” :
Incantations,
Ommadawn,
Tubular Bells,
Hergest Ridge,
