  • The classic goldtop finish graces the top, while the back has a dark stain. The BurstBucker pickups on this Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Darkback "VOS" (Vintage Original Spec) are precise copies of the original "Patent Applied For" versions that were the first dual-coil humbucking pickups ever produced in quantity. Their full, round, and versatile sound is as unique now as it was then. Classic carved maple top, solid (non-weight relieved) mahogany back, and one-piece mahogany neck generate the singing resonance that made the original one of the world's most sought-after guitars. Finish and hardware are gently aged to make it look exactly like the real McCoy. Early '50s rounded neck profile gives you something serious to hang onto. Vintage Original Spec series instruments receive a special nitro-cellulose finish treatment yielding the patina of a gently-aged vintage guitar while handcrafting enhances comfort and playability. Each VOS model has a solid mahogany back; historically accurate long-neck tenon for strength and sustain; and period-correct neck profile, hardware, and electronics.

Everyday by Carly Comando – on electric guitar!

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

There it is, a video I made in the memory of my father, who passed away this June (2009). Somehow I did not get to play it for him while he was alive, so this is a “catch-up”… Everyday is a song that inspired me from the first time I heard it, and the first time I heard it was on the video from Noah Kalina, a few years back. I’ve been playing this on guitar for ages, but never commited it to video. Unfortunately I don’t have the proper equipment to take a video, so in the end of a long day I decided to settle into recording the song and using some of the videos I had taken as playback videos. You will notice that it is out of synch at times – too bad, but I could not help it. The software I used to edit the video has its limitations, and synching was impossible. The tune is not difficult and I simplified it a bit, so it would allow an electric guitar. I played it on my Epiphone Les Paul Silverburst. The picture in the end is the last one I took with my father, we both knew that. He had a terminal cancer and lived in Brazil, while I live in Norway. That was my farewell trip to him… Thank you so much Carly Comando and Noah Kalina, you’ve helped me cope with a lot… Hope you like it!

Evanescence Bleed I Must Be Dreaming FULL BAND DigiTech RP 250 Gibson Epiphone

Friday, September 4th, 2009

My ending is NOT lined up with the song–this was done purposely for the benefit of my instrumental version.
This is my version of Evanescence’s Bleed–sometimes know as Untitled (I Must Be Dreaming) with the full band. I used quite a few different tones throughout the song for the electric guitar part (switching back and forth) and created the acoustic tab and most of the electric tab by ear. I’ve also posted an instrumental version and look for a third version with vocals soon! Hope you enjoy this one!
I also want to give a big thank you to daSONNE1 for requesting an Instrumental version of this song!!!!
Guitars: Gibson Epiphone SG G400 Deluxe AND Gibson Epiphone DR-100

Bubble Bobble – Electric Guitar and Bass Cover

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

I played the main song from Bubble Bobble on electric guitar and bass, and programmed MIDI drums for it. Here it is! Tabs available at GameTabs.

MP3 download: http://auriplane.net/bubble4.mp3

This song was composed by Tadashi Kimijima. If you don’t know what Bubble Bobble is, it is a classic arcade game you should definitely play, featuring this song!

I put the instruments I actually played in tiny digitized form on Bub and Bob. The guitar is an Epiphone Les Paul Goth, and the bass is a Fender Jazz Bass. Zen-Chan is playing Squier drums, because they looked cool XD The drums in the song are Natural Drum Kit, programmed with Logic Pro + Halion Player.

Epiphone Les Paul Special II

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

Hey everyone, this is a video of my guitar. I acquired it in 2007 and ive made a few small mods to it, the guitar sounded great before the mods, but now it sounds even better. I have put on a set of Marvel Straplocks and in 2009 i upgraded the pickups on this guitar to a Seymour Duncan Dimebucker SH-13 (bridge) and a Dean Stock Zebra (neck), i also replaced the pots and the switch for the new pickups. These mods have really turned this thing into a beast.

I seriously think this guitar is amazing for the money, ive been playing for 3 years and this is my main guitar.

I used my Nokia N95 to record and edit the video using the default video editor in the phone. It came out okay.

R.I.P Dimebag

If you have any questions on the guitar just leave a comment……… and dont forget to rate!
Cheers!
