(Project guitar) Squier Affinity Strat w/GFS pickups upgrade

I got one of Guitarfetish’s prewired pickguards (switch, pots, ceramic pickups) and saw a very noticeable improvement in sound and power, mostly in overdrive. Not bad for less than $40 =) * Sorry for the aimless playing. I hadn’t learned much at the time this video was made, and it’s hard to adequately test out a guitar with so few licks learned.     The small MG is a fine practice amp, but trust me and don’t get a larger one. The tone is awful for the price on them and they are not reliable at all. Look into a cheap tube amp like an epiphone valve junior or a fender blues junior. Remember- tube watts > solid state watts
