All I can say is I …
All I can say is I have been recording for 5 years now, and I have over 10,000 in software alone. I have tried all of these virtual amps and they are just not good for metal.
I have a Delta 192 for a pci card on a 2.4Ghz Quad core with 4 GB of RAM and running a RAID 0. It would be great if someone would put some decent demos of this thing running directly into the PC. The clean tones are OK, but they are noisy and can not be used for recording. This is just my experience with the product.

Highly doubt it. …
Highly doubt it. Revalver can give dish out really convincing tones in the right hands.

I get really good …
I get really good sounds from the presets with no tweaks (Demo Version).
My interface is Edirol UA-25 into the laptop.
My Guitar is 1994 Fender Strat – aluminum body
with Bailey solid aluminum neck.
My pick-ups are just a pre-wired pickguard from Mighty Mite -real cheap @ 39.95.
I monitor the sounds with headphones plugged into the Edirol.
I noticed if I take the Edirol audio output and run it thru my little 6 channel mixer, the sound is not good at all.

Where’s the RTAS …
Where’s the RTAS version?

Notice how there is …
Notice how there is no one demo-ing the sounds. I guess it would be OK for someone to learn guitar with, but even my cheap Kustom practice amp sounds better than this junk.

Problem is: They …
Problem is: They are not tubes.
These programs can’t even come close to a metal sound. They are fine for clean sounds, but this one is really noisey. I am running through a Yamaha 01X and even with the great pre-amps it’s really not enough to sound metal. I have not tried my tube pre-amp yet, but that might make a little difference for the metal tones. The presets SUCK. I mean they are just gay.
