The B.C. Rich Special X Mockingbird has all the same features as the Special Mockingbird guitars. However, the Special X Mockingbirds utilize AAA quilted maple top and Grover tuners. Other features include a strategically positioned three-way toggle switch, two volume and two tone controls, stop tailpiece, a Tone Pros tune-o-matic style bridge and vintage specified Rockfield humbucker pickups.

The maple neck is bolted on with 4 screws to the body. This construction offers some added flexibility in the instruments adjustment and provides the option to change the neck in the future.B.C.
